FAQ

What are the advantages of acquiring the B.Sc (Aviation) degree?

The educational qualification of a CPL holder as per DGCA guidelines is 10 + 2 Science (with Physics and Maths). As a result most pilots end up joining the airline with these qualifications only. As they slowly progress in their career they acquire additional qualifications on their flying licence like Check Pilot / Instructor / Examiner. However these qualifications are of a Technical nature. When, the same pilot goes up for promotion towards the management cadre, the 10 + 2 Science qualifications is found to be inadequate.

The Federation of Indian Pilots recognized this problem and instituted a B.Sc (Aviation) course under the University of Mumbai.

The advantage of this course is that the student can acquire a Graduation Degree along with his CPL.
