Commissioned as pilot officer in the Indian Air force on 25th December 1964.
Flew heavy transport aircrafts and then posted to VIP sqn. as SQN. LDR. from 1971 to 30th November 1976.

Flew Boeing 707, Airbus 310, Boeing 747 – 200/300 and Boeing 747 - 400 in command.
Check Pilot on Boeing 707, Boeing 747 – 200 / 300, Airbus 310 and Boeing 747 – 400.
Promoted as Dy. OPS. Mgr. in 1990 and posted to OPS Headquarter, Gained experience in administration of OPS Headquarters.
Posted to Air Safety Department and promoted as Additional GM.
Posted to Operations Training and promoted as General Manager – OPS Training.
Retired from flying in Oct 2002.
Appointed consultant in Air Safety Department on 15th November 2002 to monitor safety programme and Flight Operations Quality Assurance programme.
